Path of Thorns

A Victorian, Cornish treatment of the classic fairytale: Hansel and Gretel. As well as following the main, recognisable themes of that story, Path of Thorns provides us with a background and some context, and maybe even provides some answers...

It also has ties with The Lynher Mill Chronicles, so if you have read those books you will recognise at least one of the characters!

It's beautiful down in the woods today,

With the paths dappled bright by the sun,

And myriad creatures, both tiny and great,

Take the air, now that Spring has begun.

But the shadows keep secrets,

The hollows have eyes,

And decay breathes its dark, deadly spores.

There's wickedness down in the woods today,

And its fingers are reaching for yours.
